Best way to boost
motivation: Group lessons
At THEPIANOANDME, our mission is to raise skilled & independant lifelong musicians!
In a group lesson setting, we do what all other musicians get to do in real life: play music together along with other people!
If you are looking for a stimulating & fun environment that will nurture musicianship, knowledge, listening skills, and the love of music in a friendly group for your student,
WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!

BENEFITS OF GROUP PIANO CLASSES:
Students build a sense of community in learning music together as a group as opposed to on their own with their instructor: it's fun to make friends that are in the same boat and share the same interests!
Students motivate one another with positive peer energy and role model dynamics,
Lessons include an individual practice time, and each student is comforted by witnessing their classmates doing the same thing which promotes independent learning skills as a positive experience, and learning how to practice on your own,
Piano group classes represents a rare opportunity for pianists to learn to play in duets, trios and ensembles and develop the essential skill of listening to one another as we play music together,
Group piano students have more self-confidence as performers are they are already experienced in playing in front of their classmates on a regular basis!
The lesson time is longer (45mn) so we can explore more music theory than within a private lesson - meanwhile, parents get a chance to get an errand done, too!

Recitals offer students a great sense of accomplishment and pride in their hard work, and they also help them learn the importance of setting and achieving goals. All THEPIANOANDME students, kids or grown up are invited to participate in our recitals, hosted twice a year.
Piano parties are fun events where students join other piano students in a group setting to perform, play theory games and participate in piano fun!
Themed challenges are seasonal events where students are invited to record themselves performing a theme-related piece. The best performer wins a prize, and the best videos are posted on our social media!
Participation to our studio events is recommended but always optional!
"My favorite part of group lessons was when we got to play the electric pianos. I liked playing the bass part.
My least favorite part was when we had to listen to notes and write them down - it was fun but challenging and I was proud of myself and came home and showed my mom"
